The Mercola Scandal: An Eye Opener

by Dr.Harald Wiesendanger– Klartext

One of America’s most prominent holistic physicians, Dr. Joseph Mercola, has to delete numerous articles on his website that substantiate undesirable viewpoints: The effectiveness and safety of the corona vaccinations are questionable. There are proven, highly effective, inexpensive alternatives for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19. The militant doctor could no longer withstand the constant pressure of legal threats, personal hostility, and defamation.

The Mercola scandal makes it alarmingly clear how endangered the fundamental right to freedom of expression is in the western world. He reveals a propaganda network’s machinations and intrigues that want to determine what we are allowed to experience and express. And its masterminds pull the strings in the background, in the USA, and around the world. Governments encourage their goings-on, courts let them have their way, mainstream media make themselves their henchmen, the general public has no idea.

Boris Reitschuster is more than just an experienced, well-read journalist. The former Moscow correspondent for the news magazine Focus is a phenomenon – almost an institution. A lighthouse. With his daring appearances at national press conferences, as a notorious annoyance of incompetent, lying, gurgling government representatives, he stands out rather lonely from a dutiful pack of good court reporters. His blog, started in December 2019, has become Germany’s provisional online platform for truths that have been ignored, caused, and discredited elsewhere for deliberate questions and contradictions within a year. With 18.5 million hits in April 2021 alone, it is the only system-critical medium that still reaches a significant mass. Admirers refer to Reitschuster as the one-man opposition of the republic. THEY celebrate it as a shining example of what could and should die the fourth estate if it falls appropriately to the job done – especially now when it counts as it has not been since 1945.

But that could be over overnight. Or at short notice the day after tomorrow, at the next planned Plandemie.

How endangered journalistic front-line fighters like Reitschuster are in the new normal can be seen from a look across the pond. The worst hostility there must be Dr. Endure Joseph Mercola, One of America’s most famous alternative medicine and health journalists. Even the outrageous Wikipedia entry about the 67-year-old doctor is like a public execution. He is “in constant criticism” because he represents “disgusting views” and gives “pseudo-scientific advice.”

On a dangerous mission

Many enemies, much honor: you have to work hard to get such a bad reputation. Mercola has done it by steadfastly following what he calls “my mission” for over a quarter of a century: “helping you take control of your health” instead of leaving it to people who make money when health is lost. He fought against neurotoxic fluoride in drinking water, against dental fillings made of mercury, against genetically modified organisms, poisonous agricultural chemicals, and synthetic fertilizers. He warned against too many antibiotics in human medicine and animal breeding, against the dangers of vitamin D deficiency, against harmful trans fats, as well as against Vioxx, that diabolical anti-inflammatory drug that killed more than 60,000 patients before it was finally taken off the market. In his reveal book The Great Bird Flu Hoax in 2006, Mercola used the example of bird flu to show how overpowering interest groups can cause pseudo-pandemics – and what they get out of it.

This persistent commitment to public health earned the courageous doctor much attention and recognition. Of Mercola’s 15 books, three made it onto the New York Times bestseller list. Since 1997 has been one of the world’s most successful independent internet sources for health information from an alternative medicine perspective. Several dozen permanent and freelance workers contribute to this under Mercola’s direction. With 10 to 20 million hits a month, rivals the National Institutes of Health, America’s premier biomedical research agency. (1) It temporarily topped the websites of the American Medical Association and the New England Journal of Medicine. Mercola’s recently published book The Truth About Covid-19 has what it takes to be a mega-hit; Amazon alone ordered 100,000 copies in advance.

If you let what Mercola has to offer online, you can hardly avoid taking your hat off rather than being disappointed. Although the holistic physician always shows a clear edge, he tends to prove his point of view in an exemplary manner. Most of the articles are extensively researched; they usually end with a list of all sources consulted, often more than one to two dozen. Medical journalists worldwide could learn a big slice of it, especially since a panic virus raged in the media landscape.

The enormous response makes Mercola inevitably a target for anyone whose business interests he gets in the way in the healthcare sector.

Attacks against him intensified in times of pandemic. Because from the start, he astutely questioned the official narrative. For valid reasons, he doubts the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2. He sees a planemic in the pandemic; names suspected masterminds and profiteers show the devastating collateral damage of lockdowns. He urgently warns against rarely tested, novel vaccines, expresses concerns about their effectiveness and safety. Week after week, he presented proven ways to prevent and treat Covid-19 without a syringe: be it with vitamins and minerals, with nebulized hydrogen peroxide, with antiviral drugs such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.

You don’t have to agree with Mercolas’ conclusions, but one has to admit that he goes to great lengths to justify it. And there is undoubtedly one thing you don’t have to do: deny him the fundamental right to make it public.

Free for shooting – Hunt of a lateral thinker

But Mercola is too influential for his opponents to let him go. For months he has been exposed to a massive character assassination campaign aimed at destroying his reputation and silencing him. He doesn’t just have to fight off individual attackers. He faces a whole network so intricately woven that it makes your head spin when you understand it. Its actions appear to be coordinated by a PR agency.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is at the forefront, a consumer organization based in Washington. (2) In August 2020, CSPI President Peter Lurie called on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), America’s highest authority for drug and food control, and the Federal Trade Commission to “initiate enforcement proceedings against Mercola for unlawful acts Allegations that falsely and misleadingly purport to treat, cure or prevent Covid-19 infections.” At the same time, the CSPI urged its members to flood the authorities with pre-formulated tweets to back up the demand.

The fact is: In addition to its information service, Mercola also runs a shop for dietary supplements and other health products. At the headquarters in Cape Coral, Florida, a large part of his 135 employees (3) take care of sales; the others support him editorially. Mercola strictly separates both work areas from one another: not a single article contains product advertising to entice readers to order, contrary to the so much-criticized “Center of Health.” And no healing is promised anywhere on Mercola’s product pages.

The CSPI allegations are, therefore, maliciously drawn out of thin air. On whose behalf? Who finances the CSPI? In 2017, around half of their income, $ 7.2 million, came from “donations,” 2.2 million of which came from foundations. They include the Rockefeller Foundation, the Rockefeller Family Fund, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Joyce Foundation, the Tides Foundation, the Public Welfare Foundation, and the Pew Charitable Trusts. The CSPI has entered into a close partnership with the Cornell Alliance for Science, Bill Gates’ agricultural PR tool.

Mercola is just as severely played along by Health Guard, a dodgy online service that classifies health websites according to certain criteria for “credibility” and “transparency.” It ensures that warnings pop up as soon as someone searches for Mercola’s articles or enters the address of their homepage in an Internet browser. The so-called “security tool” grades using color codes that appear next to Google and Bing search results as well as social media posts.

HealthGuard is a niche service from NewsGuard, a cyber truth guardian that counts among its “partners” the US State Department, the Pentagon, and the World Health Organization. The internet watchdog pretends to lead us to verified facts from trustworthy sources. In truth, its clearly biased ranking system has one purpose: through low ratings, it is supposed to keep the population from stumbling across information that does not suit the political and economic establishment.

NewsGuard has recently been operating a “Coronavirus Misinformation Tracking Center,” which provides a “Top COVID-19 Vaccine Myths Tracker”.

News Guard is a perfidious propaganda weapon, concocted and co-financed by one of the world’s largest advertising and media service providers: the Publicis Groupe. For almost a century, this publicity-shy colossus has been manipulating what people think about commercial products around the world. With over 77,000 employees in 109 countries, it generated almost ten billion euros in sales in 2015.

Publicis’ customers include some of the largest pharmaceutical companies, including vaccine manufacturers and other beneficiaries of the pandemic – including Lilly, Abbot, Roche, Amgen, Genentech, Celgene, Gilead, Biogen, AstraZeneca, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, and Bayer, to name a few. (4) The “partnership” with NewsGuard, as Publicis bluntly explains, serves to “combat the ‘infodemia’ of misinformation about Covid-19 and Covid vaccines”.

Publicis is also a partner of the World Economic Forum. Publicis has been cooperating with Google since 2008, which gives it even greater opportunities to hide unwanted views that could harm its clientele.

Gates’ Microsoft is also one of NewsGuard’s “partners,” initially from 2018 as part of a “Defending Democracy Against Disinformation” program. Since 2020, users of the Microsoft Edge browser have been given free access to NewsGuard, and Microsoft’s search engine Bing is allowed to access the truth guardian’s data.

NewsGuard also has links to pharmacy-funded websites such as WebMD and Medscape. A decade ago, Medscape was caught using a fake online depression test to advertise the antidepressant Cymbalta surreptitiously. The portal also campaigned for Monsanto. It regularly publishes industry-friendly articles that are actually paid to promote, so-called “advertorials.”

It is no coincidence that NewsGuard resides at one of the finest media addresses in the world: the Paley Center in New York City. To clarify: For communication professionals, Paley is what the World Economic Forum in Davos represents for leading figures from politics and business. It involves virtually all major US media outlets, including AOL, CBS, Fox, and Tribune Media. Every year it sponsors a global forum for industry leaders. In November 2015, Susan Gianinno, President of Publicis North America, joined the Board of Trustees of the Paley Center.

“Digital hatred” is fomented instead of fought.

HealthGuard is also linked to the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), a dubious one-man organization headquartered in London that does not want to disclose who is funding it. She mentions “philanthropic foundations” and “members of the public” but does not mention names. (5)

Instead of confronting “digital hatred,” the CCDH unscrupulously heats it up: With unbridled extremist rhetoric, it fights vaccine skeptics as enemies of the people, aiming to stir up public outrage against them. “What the CCDH actually does is digital hate coaching,” says Mercola.

At the beginning of July 2020, the CCDH drew attention to itself by exposing an alleged “Anti-Vaxx Industry” (6). In it, she refers to a “worldwide scientific consensus on vaccines.” And this is “undermined by a small but determined and sophisticated network of individuals and groups who spread misinformation online. They increase their reach and sustainability by skillfully misusing social media to proselytize and to present their belief in outsiders as normal. (…) Defenders of global health need to understand the war we are in. We are dealing with an opposing force trying to convince people that Covid is safe, vaccines are dangerous, and doctors and scientists cannot be trusted. Pretending the threat doesn’t exist isn’t good enough. It is negligent to assume that vaccination programs are adhered to. “

Ahmed does not shy away from declaring vaccine skeptics to be potential terrorists. It is “an extremist group that poses a national security risk.” Because “once someone is exposed to some kind of conspiracy, it is easy to lead them down a path where they adopt more radical worldviews, those that are too violent.” In other words, people who question the safety and necessity of a Covid-19 vaccine could be vulnerable to being aggressive and militant against the state’s order.

So action must be taken urgently, Ahmed demands.

To this end, the CCDH calls on the market leaders Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, and YouTube by name. Big Tech is guilty of a “Failure to Act,” according to the title of another CCDH report that followed in September 2020. It is a scandal that she removes “less than 1 in 20 disinformation”. (7)

In December 2020, the CCDH listed in an “Anti-Vaxx Playbook” who Big Tech must act against first of all. In this concoction, she is committed to continuously following and spying on no fewer than 425 vaccine-related social media accounts, which add up to 59.2 million followers. Because of this, she identified Mercola as one of the six most influential “anti-Vaxxers” that she wants to silence forever and banish from public forums.

In March 2021, the CCDH published expanded lists of the “Top 10” and “Top 12 Anti-Vaxxers”. In addition to Mercola, they include the journalist Del Bigtree, the doctors Andrew Wakefield and Sherri Tenpenny, the lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and his non-profit Children’s Health Defense. Also, Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder and chairwoman of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) advocates the ethical principle of Informed Consent: So that consumers weigh the benefits and risks of vaccines against each other important information must not be withheld from him.

The evil “top 12” are responsible for 65% of vaccine “disinformation” on social media, as the CCDH claims to have found out. Therefore, she demands, these twelve should disappear from all Internet platforms in the interests of the common good. In the journal Nature Medicine, the CCDH called for the “dismantling of the anti-vaccine industry.”

The managing director of the CCDH, a certain Imran Ahmed, was appointed to the “Commission on Countering Extremism Pilot Task Force” of the British government in April 2020, just at the time when the worldwide corona scare tactics began. Ahmed has extensive connections to politicians and think tanks who denounce capable citizens as a threat to national security as soon as they dare to question Covid vaccines. The seven-member CCDH board of directors, who “support and review” Ahmed’s actions, is headed by Simon Clark, once Reuters’ first director of Internet services, senior fellow of the political think tank Center for American Progress, and chairman of Foreign Policy for America. In this sits with Stephen Grand, a representative of the Atlantic Council, and Avril Haines, a former deputy director of the CIA and participant in Event 201.

Another CCDH board member, Kirsty McNeill, is a member of the European Council of Foreign Relations – another key figure behind the Great Reset – and a director of the Save the Children Fund. And this is funded by the Gates Foundation and is one of the partners of Gates’ GAVI Vaccine Alliance.

Also on the CCDH Board of Directors is Damian Collins, a Member of the UK Parliament and former Chair of the House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee. Collins founded Infotagion, which “seeks to combat disinformation about COVID-19”.

Hand in hand with the CCDH, another obscure group called Anti-Vax Watch – allegedly “an alliance of concerned individuals,” but allegedly a covert PR initiative is inciting. It is “time to vaccinate against disinformation,” she says. Because “the harmful and nefarious messages of anti-Vaxxers penetrate the mainstream, maliciously and deliberately targeting vulnerable groups amid a global health crisis.”

Gates’ willing propaganda helpers

Soon afterward, the smear campaign against “disinformants” like Mercola was joined by National Public Radio (NPR), a non-profit, state, and private media company based in Washington, D.C., Seemingly drawing only from the CCDH source. NPR produced a nefarious piece entitled “For Some Anti-Vaccine Advocates, Misinformation Is Part of a Business.” The tenor: Pied pipers like Mercola are misusing the pandemic to “increase their reach and customer base with fake news.”

Of course, the broadcaster did not say a word about the fact that the Gates Foundation has given it donations totaling 7.5 million dollars since 2000, spread over ten different transfers. And of course, the broadcaster kept Mercola’s immediate statement to itself: “The NPR is playing an essential role in driving the pharmaceutical agenda to promote compulsory vaccination, with the help of Bill Gates’ funding. You are defending the most powerful and corrupt industry in the world while attacking a small company that fought against it. “

NPR strongly welcomes Facebook’s increasingly brazen censorship of dissenting opinions. The broadcaster finds it particularly praiseworthy that Zuckerberg’s media monster has recently taken action against any posts that could weaken the population’s willingness to vaccinate – regardless of the truthfulness of the posts in question. By the way: Facebook is one of the sponsors of the NPR.

With insane sums of money, the Gates Foundation ensures that media houses such as NPR can be shamelessly used for pharmaceutical propaganda. According to research by the Columbia Journalism Review, it gave newsmakers around the world more than a quarter of a billion dollars. Recipients include the BBC, NBC, Al Jazeera, ProPublica, National Journal, The Guardian, Univision, Medium, The Financial Times, The Atlantic, the Texas Tribune, Gannett, Washington Monthly, Le Monde, and the Center for Investigative Reporting; Charities affiliated with news outlets such as BBC Media Action and the New York Times’ Neediest Cases Fund; journalistic organizations such as the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, the National Press Foundation, and the International Center for Journalists; and a variety of other news content or journalism groups such as the Leo Burnett Company.

In addition, the Gates Foundation participates every year as a promoter in dozens of high-level journalistic conferences – for example, the Perugia Journalism Festival, the Global Editors Network, or the World Conference on Science Journalism.

Among the German “quality media” that hold up their hands at Gates without hesitation is the Spiegel, of all people; He received 2.3 million euros. The Hamburg news magazine asserts that, of course, this donation in no way affects the newspaper’s objective reporting on its benefactor Gates. However, the paper proves the opposite with continued attacks on Gates’s critics.

Ironically, the foundation “even funded a 2016 American Press Institute report that served to develop guidelines on how newsrooms can maintain editorial independence from philanthropic donors,” the review article states. “Gates’ generosity appears to have helped create an increasingly friendly media environment for the most visible charity in the world.”

The donations made by the Microsoft co-founder are always conditional. “When Gates gives money to newsrooms, he’s restricting how the money is used – often on issues such as global health and education that the foundation works on – which can help raise his agenda in the news media.”

Gates is particularly generous in promoting the excessive checking of facts. The reliable government- and industry-friendly efforts of the truth finders are coordinated and certified by the Poynter Institute, a highly respected journalism school from Florida, which is regarded as an authority on professional ethics. Poynter has headed the International Fact-Checking Network since the end of 2015. According to its own statements, it is sponsored, among other things, by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). This semi-state agency lives on grants from Washington, George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2015 alone, Gates donated $ 383,000 to the Poynter Institute for the purpose of “improving the accuracy of claims made in the global media regarding global health and development.” According to Kelly McBride, senior vice president of Poynter, forwarded this money to fact-checkers.

Generous elites, therefore, actively help to protect against “disinformation.”

Cyberwar against freedom of expression

HealthGuard, CCDH, WebMD, and Medscape recently jointly launched a public service campaign called “VaxFacts.” Its stated goal is to “provide facts and tools that help consumers make informed decisions about vaccines,” reports WebMD.

At the same time, Google is funding fact-checkers with three million dollars as part of its “Digital News Initiative” to counteract the “vaccine misinformation” that Mercola allegedly disseminates.

The Sabin Vaccine Institute, which has received several million dollars from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (8), is also involved in the war of extermination against vaccine skeptics such as Mercola, among other things, for a paper entitled “Meeting the Challenge of Vaccine Hesitancy” ( Sabin President Dr. Peter Hotez recently called in the science magazine Nature in all seriousness to involve “cyber warfare experts in the war against vaccine critics”: “Precise, targeted counter-messages from the global health community are important, but also insufficient like public pressure on social media companies. The United Nations and the highest levels of government must (…) strive to crush anti-vaccination groups in the United States. Efforts need to expand into cybersecurity, law enforcement, public education, and international relations. A high-level, interagency working group, reporting to the UN Secretary-General, could assess the full effects of anti-vaccination aggression and propose strict, balanced measures. The task force should include experts who have dealt with complex global threats such as terrorism, cyberattacks, and nuclear armament, as anti-science is now approaching similar threats. It is becoming increasingly clear that advancing immunization requires a counter-offensive. “

Why, so Mercola wonders, “does Hotez demand the use of war tactics against American citizens who have done nothing illegal?”

Secret services are also involved.

According to the latest media reports, the military and secret services are now also participating in the cyberwar against “anti-Vaxx propaganda” and other “disinformation” by alleged threats to the people like Mercola. (10) The British GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters) uses tools and tactics that have proven themselves in the “war on terror” after September 11, 2001, most recently against the “Islamic State.”

In addition, the UK government has ordered the UK Military’s 77th Brigade, which specializes in “information warfare,” to launch an online campaign to counter “misleading stories” about Covid-19 vaccines.

In the United States, the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and the FBI appear to be involved in the war against anti-Vaxxers. References to this can be found in a “white paper” that became known in June 2019. It claims that the American anti-vaccination movement is orchestrated by Russian government-affiliated organizations aiming to “sow dissatisfaction and distrust in issues and initiatives that serve US interests” (11); “the greatest threat outbreak control is based on those who categorically refuse vaccinations.” (12)

At the beginning of October 2020, the US Air Force and the “Special Operations Command” of the American armed forces awarded a multi-million dollar contract to Primer, a specialist in artificial intelligence. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is one of its customers. Primer is supposed to develop “the very first machine learning platform,” making it possible to “automatically identify and evaluate alleged disinformation almost in real-time.” It complements Gates’ newly forged Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA). (See CLEAR TEXT “‘This stuff ‘has to go.”) The fully automatic truth guard appears on the horizon in the service of a technocratic elite that lets “superspreaders” put an end to alleged fake news once and for all.

Mercola has to give in.

The aggressive censorship campaigns are already resoundingly successful. Based on this, twelve attorneys general asked in a letter dated March 24, 2021, the CEOs of Twitter and Facebook to remove all of Mercola’s accounts.

In addition, two of these prosecutors posted a post in the Washington Post on April 8, 2021, asking social media to delete the “anti-Vaxxers” identified by the CCDH. The lack of acceptance of the novel mRNA technology, they claim, is because a small group of individuals with a social media presence – Mercola included – are successfully misleading the public by lying about nonexistent vaccine risks. “The solution is far from complicated. It is time for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to turn off that toxic faucet and completely remove the small handful of individuals who are spreading this fraudulent misinformation,” they write.

At first, Mercola refused to bow to these increasingly violent attacks. “I was ready to defend myself in court after I had the allegations reviewed by some of the best lawyers in the country.” Information and research that I have provided so far could no longer be maintained. These threats are not legal in nature, and I have limited options to defend myself against them. “

And so Mercola was now forced to remove all articles about vitamins D, C permanently, and zinc and most of the articles about Covid-19 from his website. Suppose you want to form your own judgment about which high-quality information worth discussing falls victim to the virtual red pen. In that case, it is best to read Mercola’s expert study on “Evidence Regarding Vitamin D and Risk of Covid-19 and Its Severity” from October 2020. It is available free of charge on the website of the journal Nutrients.

Freedom of expression is dead – at least concerning Corona

But doesn’t the First Amendment to the United States Constitution also apply to Mercola? It clearly forbids restricting freedom of speech and freedom of the press.

Virtually unnoticed by the American public, Congress buried this fundamental right in January 2021 – at least concerning Covid-19 matters – for the first time in 230 years. This silent act of sabotage the constitution could hardly have been more tricky: It is hidden in a legal text of as much as 2124 pages. Probably not a single one of the senators and MPs who approved it has read it in its entirety, let alone thought about it: the Consolidated Appropriations Act.

This legislative monster includes a “COVID-19 consumer protection” clause. It gives the government the power to prosecute anyone who defies the official Corona narrative as a “criminal.” He does so when he “engages in an unfair or misleading act or practice (…) related to the treatment, cure, prevention, alleviation or diagnosis of COVID-19 or a government service related to COVID-19”.

A license for censorship could hardly be more comprehensive. It makes it a criminal offense to call unreliable tests unreliable, inflated case numbers inflated, falsified corona death statistics falsified. It forbids questioning the questionable safety and effectiveness of corona vaccines. He makes it a punishable offense to point out proven alternatives for preventing and treating viral diseases. It suppresses criticism of lockdowns, masking, and other state disease control measures of the government and its advisors, health authorities, the WHO, the pharmaceutical industry, and vaccination fetishists like Gates. Where do America’s top constitutional guardians actually keep their deep sleep? In a shared accommodation with your counterparts from Karlsruhe, Paris, and London?

“How would Hitler have burned books in 2021?

“How would Hitler have burned books in 2021?” Asks Mercola. They are utilizing digital deletion orgies, no question about it.

According to the Consolidated Appropriations Act, the Corona consumer protection paragraph only applies “for the duration of the public health emergency COVID-19”. Since this alleged “emergency” is defined by the effortlessly manipulable, clinically meaningless case numbers, it can, however, be dragged out at will. In addition, the fatal clause provides a blueprint for the construction of future emergencies. After the pandemic is before the next. The climate catastrophe also sends its regards.
